Step-by-step instructions for claiming your official artist accounts across every major DSP, plus what each platform gates the claim on.

<aside> ⚠️

Why SpaceHeater can't claim profiles for you. As your distributor, sharing team access to our accounts would expose our entire artist roster to you — and vice versa. Each profile must be claimed by you directly, using your own personal or artist account. Apple Music is the exception, and it works in reverse: only you can grant access to us, not the other way around. YouTube is the other exception — OAC requests can only be submitted by a distributor, so we do that one on your behalf.

Every platform below is free. Approval times range from a couple of days to several weeks depending on the platform.

<aside> ⏱️

Deliver at least four weeks before street date. Spotify is the only platform where you can claim pre-release, and editorial pitching requires Spotify for Artists access before the track goes live. Four weeks leaves room for ingestion, the claim review, and the pitch. Everything else is a post-release task — plan those for release week +1.
